Scripts

Here's a few TV pilots and a spec script of mine.

Welcome to Production

Don Draper Cures Cancer! Okay, that didn’t really happen. It wasn’t an episode of Mad Men. But if you’ve ever worked in the commercial industry, you know that every ad agency and brand act like they’re searching for the cure.

Fortunately for them, when it comes to filming a commercial, there’s a group of people on set willing to do whatever it takes to make things happen and solve any problem that comes up.

Welcome to Production is a half-hour comedy that explores the world of commercial production through the eyes of a PA, Line Producer, and their production team. Set in Los Angeles, each episode takes place on a new shoot (or in the production office) with a new brand and a new agency.

My Mom and The WEatherman

What happens when your father dies unexpectedly? Your life falls apart and your mom starts dating the dorky local weatherman.

Set in Eau Claire, Wisconsin (a small-market city of roughly 70,000) and loosely inspired by real events, this half-hour comedy explores family dynamics and resetting expectations on life. The theme is: It’s okay to move on and for your mom to date the weatherman.

Dover

After 9/11 a group of New Yorkers leave the city to start over in rural Wyoming.

Dover is a one-hour serial family drama that will span the time between the present height of modern society and its demise. It will feel like a contemporary western with elements of the apocalypse. Think Dallas meets Fear The Walking Dead but without the zombies. The series logline would be something like this: After restoring an isolated town and learning to live “off the grid,” the residents of Dover have their peaceful existence destroyed when a second terrorist attack hits New York, Wall Street fails, and the world begins to crumble. Now everyone must become truly self-reliant to survive.
